I know its 4 years but lets cap this off with this final bit of music and scene  
Celebrations took place across the whole planet. Spoilpatine had been defeated and her Empire was crumbling into dust. Former protesters took to the streets in pride, glad that such a totalitarian government had finally ceased to be
 
At Ponyville, roaring parties and hearty stories were town wide, it had been years since this war had started but now that it’d finally ended, they could rest for the foreseeable future and take a load off their minds
 
Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were celebrating like absolute kids, reuniting with old friends who they had missed for a long time. On the outskirts of town, Applebloom looked away from Ponyville, over to the old Everfree Forest. There, in the shadows of the trees, she could see apparitions of former friends in her life. Then, suddenly, stood amongst them, was former bully of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, the friend that they all wanted her to be: Diamond Tiara
 
Applebloom soon got called away by her own friends but she looked back one last time as they waved her on, hoping for a bright and hopeful future. Satisfied with the conclusion, she turned back to Ponyville with a big smile on her face. Finally, she had peace and love in her life, after many years of conflict. It felt…good :)

Here’s some more music to better fit this situation  
When the battle was over, Applebloom returned to the surface via a shuttle and brought out Diamond Tiara’s body. Her friends, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, who were nearby, asked on what was going on?
 
Scootaloo: Is that who I think it is?
 
Applebloom: Yep. And she helped me…to the bitter end.
 
Sweetie: She helped you?
 
Applebloom: In the end, she learned her ways…and became the friend we all wanted.
 
She then asked her friends to lift the body onto a nearby pile of wood. She figured that this would a nice sendoff for Diamond Tiara: Cleansing the hate and corruption from her body and leaving only peace in her heart. Applebloom ignited a torch and walked on over to the pile of wood and set it alight
 
Applebloom: Tears poured from her eyes Goodbye, Diamond Tiara…you were a great friend…

I would guess that Force ghosts can look however they want. They’re basically pure willpower, after all.

Diamond’s head slowly starts to fall back
 
Applebloom: Diamond…
 
Her head falls back a little faster
 
Applebloom: Ah won’t leave ya!
 
Her head stopped falling back onto the platform. Diamond Tiara: Former bully of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, passes away with a genuine smile on her face, happy that she no longer has any regrets to settle in her life. Applebloom breaks down in tears at her new friend’s death

Major Star Wars fans will argue that Obi-Wan & Yoda died old so they came back old when they were Force Ghosts.
 
They would also say that Anakin died when he became Darth Vader, hence the Hayden Christensen change in the special edition (And, for some reason, ignoring the fucking scene before that showed Vader turning back into Anakin, personality wise).

But then she redeems herself by defeating her evil mentor, apologizing, and so she becomes a force ghost.
 
And then she becomes Hayden Christensen in the special edition version, and fans freak.  
(Admittedly, that’s the only “change” I disliked in the remakes, and I’m not even a major SW fan. Mainly, ‘cause I question why his ghost get to be young, when Obi & Yoda’s aren’t? Do they really think we wouldn’t think that other guy was him? Granted, I didn’t realize that myself when I first saw it.)

So she was cute, and loveable this whole time deep down.

Would have been better to have had their actual faces and then reveal the DT face at the end.
