I loved Midnight Sparkle’s look in Friendship Games, I tried to do my own spin on it because
I didn’t want to just copy the look from the movie; but it was hard, I think the original is better.

Tried to work in elements from regular Twilight (mostly the hair) as well as Raging-She-
-demon Sunset (the demon ears and an actual tail instead of Midnight’s dumb skirt tail).

I think I killed Paint(dot)net when I tried to expand the canvas to fit her wings, realized
too late that trying to double the size of 30 separate layers at once is not a good idea.

I do have to say, I like her having a real pony tail instead of just a trail of cloth from her dress like it was in the movie.

Agreed. That faux-tail nonsense connected to their hair is ridiculous. They should have actual tails when they pony-up, and Rarity and Twilight need to get their horns as well.

I do have to admit, the lack of ears for either Sunset shimmer or Midnight sparkle was a bit offputting: If they didn’t have their Horns, they pretty much would have lacked any real pony attributes. That being said, their hair kind of made pony ears useless since they were burning “up”.
As for your version here, I would have just given her normal pony ears in this image IMO. The demon ears aren’t bad, i just think pony ears would have looked better without taking away from her evil look (since her expression and design covers that enough)
