Mad only occasionally leaves the farm either to visit Pinkie or study rocks and other things, she sort of serves as the messenger. Pinkie is the only one out there full time. I guess they can afford to have Pinkie leave, as they understand that she would be more happier living her dream knowing that she will still hold her family dearly. Which was why she offered to stay behind to help her family clean up the farm while the Apples were just leaving.
It would be pretty awful if either of their families insisted they couldn’t date anyone outside of town because they had to work the farm for the rest of their lives.
Not to mention they can always hire volunteers such as Trixie.
Limestone seems to have it well in hand, and they’ve allowed both Pinkie and Maud to leave the farm to pursue their own ambitions. Marble, being the shy pony she is, probably never had anything that would make her want to leave, until this red stallion trotted into her life. I think they’d allows Marble to go if she actually got the courage up to ask them.
Or they’d just go to that one rock and see if they’re destined to be together. Fingers crossed.
Mac can always work a bit harder at their farm to make some time to visit
