That would also count as a Cargo Ship, since one or more of the components is an inanimate object.
Example: Holder’s Boulder x Abacus Cinch.
As a rule of thumb, if your immediate reaction isn’t “WTF?!”, it’s not a crackship.
A “crack ship” is a pairing that is utterly ludicrous. Like pairing two characters who’ve never met who don’t actually exist within the same time period or continuity or some other such thing. Or pairing two completely random minor characters who have no connection whatsoever just for the sake of randomness.
It doesn’t have to be ‘unpopular’ to make no sense.
The only meaningful definition of “crack ship” I’ve seen is “an unpopular and/or extremely rare ship”. Whether a ship is “stupid” or makes sense is entirely subjective and irrelevant.
If you think it’s stupid, then go ahead and call it stupid. But it’s not crack.
