Maybe it’s the angle she’s at we can’t see them
(Far fetched version) starlight has wings maybe she used the element to take them. how? I don’t know

As of the season six trailers, Starlight looks more nervous than anything else. And a lust for power was never her thing; she seemed to see what power she had or gained as means to an end.
If she has a potential path back to the dark side, I don’t think it’s be Anakin Skywalker so much as Harvey Dent. She wouldn’t be tempted to the dark side. She’d do what she did the first time: snap.
I still get the feeling she won’t stay good for long, and a lust for power and to become the “most powerful pony in Equestria “ may be a path she goes down, the book that’s being released of her lists her as one of Twilights most notorious students, she will most likely have an Anakin and Obi Wan relationship with Twiilight and no matter how much Twilight tries to teach her about harmony and friendship she will end up joining the dark side, and again much like Anakin will have a big showdown with Twilight on her own or with the mane six or others.

Yeah, considering her whole ideology and all her crazy-ass magic was just a cover for a little filly with abandonment issues. Not to mention she got forgiven way too easily, especially compared to two other ponies in this picture (you can probably guess which two). Although at least Twilight had her priorities straight and tried to stop the damage she was doing, and only started playing shrink when that turned into a stalemate.
Maybe this will be the climax of the 2017 movie, but add Starlight to Twilight’s group then have them against whatever super badass they cooked up for the film.
