Yeah, the part where Twilight & Sunset gang up on and kick the shit out of Starlight, right as it looked Twi & Star were about to deal the final blow of payback to young Sunburst, felt out of left field. The best character in the fic, though, was easily Spike.
My feelings still stand regarding your story, even if Starlight the else maybe deserved it, I can’t get behind it because of how quickly things go from “fuck yeah” to “fuck what?” and how unlikable and over the top Sunset came off as.
“What? I felt my neck snap from that mood whiplash.”
Honestly, I’m surprised I haven’t seen more comments like this. The came about based on several discussions around Starlight’s motives, my personal opinion that they where pretty week with what we’re shown in the episode. This coupled with her fixation on ending Twilight’s friendship seems like a strange way to run her agenda.
Comedy takes a sudden shift into drama land when Sunburst shows up. There’s probably a different way I could have gone about that, but his behavior coupled with Starlight the younger’s establishes some explanation as to why she’s stuck with Sunburst, and it makes the end a bit more satisfying. Starlight the older got hers because of the time shenanigans that nearly killed everyone and because there’s a feeling going ‘round that she basically escaped all punishment for her actions (forgiveness given without much in the way of repercussions is pretty typical in the show, though not always how antagonists end up). I was on the fence about punishing Starlight the older at first, but while the things with Sunburst definitely make her more sympathetic, it’s her younger self who’s really suffering. Basically Twilight and Sunset teaming up on her was punishment for messing with time (Don’t mess with time).

I have no idea what that fic was trying to do. We find out that Sunburst becomes an irredeemable shitlord that abuses a younger Starlight and guilts her into having sex with him. So they beat the shit out of him and it’s great but then out of nowhere Twilight comes back with Sunset and they start wailing on Sunset, like, half a paragraph later.

That silhouette logo at least.
She does?
Well she got the hair down.
I’m surprised they haven’t lampshaded Kelly Sheridan’s old role as Barbie yet.
Oh snap, its you.

I like your other stories though, if that helps
Thanks for this comment. That’s a spot on assessment of the fic.

And yes, the end bits are total Rick & Morty
I believe that was a reference to Rick and Morty, at least the beating up the jerk part.

Um…I didn’t even talk about the picture, I was talking about the people in the comments section.
Sorry to say, but in this case, that was literally impossible. I don’t mind being marked as spam, it needed to be said.
