@atalarikt
The figures themselves are still pony colored; I’m guessing whoever made the ad wasn’t familiar with them and just assumed that Pinkie’s pale pink was supposed to be white.
I never seen that..sorry.
But what I was talking about was the fact that you could use your own imagination on who was what ethnic. Case in point, Pinkie Pie in MY OPINION is Japanese. Rarity is black.
This here is really gonna mess things up for people who LOVE to pick at things like race. Granted, I am not effected by it cause I don’t really look into dept with colorful ponies.
But people like this guy must really like to think everything is in black and white. While I see the colorful ponies as just colorful ponies and is up to ones imagination on who is who. However, at the end of the day the purple ponies are purple and not black. Zecora, while she is a Zebra from Africa, is black and white strip.
Oh, fun fact, apparently Celestia is a shade of light pink and Rarity is a shade of light grey…who knew?
Have you forgot this one: http://msmagazine.com/blog/2010/12/09/my-little-homophobic-racist-smarts-shaming-pony/
“I showed the video to fellow Ms. intern/blogger Kyle and asked, “What’s wrong with this picture?” he responded, “There aren’t any black ponies. Why aren’t there any brothas on the wall?” I had originally assumed that the purple ponies were supposed to represent black ponies, but he was right–the ponies don’t seem very racially diverse.”
I second this.
Dude…its Pinkie’s room…probably.
mmm, not sure how I feel about this. I mean what maade the different color ponies good was there was no ethnic color. That way nobody could complain about race.
Magic ^^
