Emerald gets an idea. If he can make it appear he ran away he might be able to buy himself the time he needed.
 
Checking to see if one of the other windows was open first, he goes to Praline’s bed, ties the sheets together to form a rope, and then very carefully lowers over the side of the overhang, hoping he won’t attract the attention of any of the guards since it’s much less noisy than him climbing down. Emerald gets it down successfully and then heads to the other window and goes inside.
 
The inside of this room is similarly sparse, containing only a dresser, and desk, and a bed. On the desk is a photo of Sweet Tea, Giles, and a third pony Emerald doesn’t recognize. Perhaps a father?
