I need evidence if I am to be convinced the Jesus is my “Lord and Savior”, and I haven’t found any.

I’m a Muslim, and this made me laugh too hard.

I feel it worth pointing out that there is some objection to the idea that Christmas was stolen from any pagan holiday. The suggestion that the December 25th date is an appropriation of Sol Invictus (established by the Roman emperor Aurelian in 274 C.E.), or the Roman Saturnalia festival (which traditionally took place in late December), became popular in the 18th and 19th centuries and persisted on through modern times. However, an article by Andrew McGowan (Dean and President of the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale) suggests there is a lack of evidence to suggest Christmas appropriated the date.  

Moreover, Saturnalia traditionally ended on December 23rd in the Julian calendar, and while December 25th was the date used by Aurelian’s holiday, the use of the 25th for Christmas seems to have been established years before Aurelian used it. Again from Andrew McGowan:  

In fact, there is evidence to suggest that the 25th was determined as the day of Jesus’s birth due to Jewish tradition. Starting about the year 200, many Christians accepted that the death of Jesus occurred on March 25th (of the Julian calendar). Because certain Jewish traditions asserted righteous men died on the same day they were conceived, many placed Jesus’ conception on March 25th as well. The 204 C.E. writings of Hippolytus of Rome, therefore, placed the birth on December 25th, exactly nine months after the date of conception.
 
Now, having said all that, I feel I should make one thing clear. I am not trying to offend anyone by offering this information. I just get tired of always hearing about how the holiday is supposedly stolen, when there is potentially so much more to it than that. Even if the origins are in dispute, there are obviously pagan influences in the holiday as it currently exists, and regardless of how it began, Christmas has become a unique blend of traditions from every culture it was taken to. There is something I find special about that, and whether you celebrate it as the birth of Christ or write any religious aspect off as a fairy tale for delusional adults, there is no denying the vast amount of history this one day contains.
