Twilight is also not a pushover at all. She can be very fierce and aggressive when demanded. Rainbow Dash makes perfect sense as a sub since she would be so scared of it. She has so much energy that the thought of being bonded and restricted would terrify her.  
Twilight has always had a domineering personality since the very first episode.

While I agree the writing can have it’s problems at points the roles is not one of them. During roleplay and especially bdsm people want to take on roles different from what they usually are. Because her her pride humiliation is such a big turn-on for Rainbow and because of her loyalty domination is such a big one for Twilight. Twilight has also been quite a domineering character from the very beginning of the show.
 
I’m actually impressed how close he can stay to the style of the show and keep the character in character. Twilight has her awkwardness and her irritability, Rarity has her manipulative skills and her generosity, Rainbow has her impulsiveness and emotional confusion.

I realize that this is an opinion (a mean one at that) but why can’t Dashie be the sub and Twilight be Dominate. Twilight likes control, that to me is perfect. But that’s my opinion too.

and asif Twilight would ever be a dom, I think that’s the even more insane thing. Twilight’s personality is like the total opposite of anyone who would ever dominate anyone xD She’s a stupid push over and seeing her like this always makes me cringe.
 
Seriosly, and Dash being a sub is also nonsense too, can tell this person must actually hate Dash.
