I don’t see how that matters all gems are made of different substances but he has been seen eating many different kinds so it being different wouldn’t really matter it’s crystal therefore he can eat it.

Plenty of artists have done the Spike eats the castle joke, but I can’t help feeling that they miss something: the gems Spike normally eats and Empire crystals don’t seem to be the same type of mineral at all.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

I realized, this is much more appropriate than is obvious. “The Thinker” is not a standalone sculpture, but a replica of the most popular part of a much larger sculpture called “The Gates of Hell,” which is a pair of huge bronze doors he was commissioned to make for a cathedral. In it, The Thinker is surrounded by his imaginings of the tortures that await unrepentant sinners after their Earthly end.
 
Hence, the dilemma Anon is pondering is a perfect fit to his pose.

All the more reason why Spike turning greedy again is such a huge threat to ponies some are a dragons favorite food.
 
Now that I think about it that would be majorly ironic he’s considered the savior of the crystal empire with a statue and everything but he also can eat everything and everypony in it should he relapse.

A Book III really didn’t live up to the quality of a A Book II.
 
But at least the series is redeemed by A Book IV: This is Also a Book, where it turns out that A Book was actually a pamphlet all along.
