hilariously, that show had ‘lapis’ being struck in the back exactly where her ‘gem’ will be.

It’s expanded upon later, but Lapis is basically experiencing residual memories from her time as the Crystal Mirror, and is recalling Steven’s less than pleasant first encounter with Sunset.
The cosmology will be expanded on later, but suffice it to say it’s a big universe they’re in.

It’s a curious way to start, having one half of the pairing seething in hatred of the other, but I wanted to ask if you’re going to elaborate on how Sunset and the Gems encountered each other?
Honestly, I was expecting Lapis to have taken a trip across universes, rather than just drifting in the ocean.
