V Well, everything she did to Tavros also falls under the “chasing the shadow of her ancestor” thing I mentioned earlier.
 
She wanted to make him into the next Summoner so that he would be both her lover and her killer.
 
And her aforementioned monstrous bitch of Luses would probably drive the more compassionate of souls to kill themselves before doing even half the stuff Vriska did.

Right Twice a Day
I too enjoy Vriska as a character. (and have fanboy love for her) I always found her to be outwardly someone i would hate, but most of her actions she does for all the right reasons. Her mistreatment of Tavros was just her twisted way of trying to make him stronger. She probably cared for him more than most and h8ted it when he still ‘failed’.

But that’s probably because I came in late, and I reserved my judgement until I found out
 
  1. How and why exactly she became such a BLUH BLUH HUGE BITCH (A combination of a constantly-hungry luses threatening to eat her, Doc Scratch’s manipulation, and chasing the shadow of her ancestor.)
     
    and
     
  2. about her conversations with John and how she genuinely wants to change her ways.
