That’s gonna make the Sci-Twi apprenticeship really weird.
 
Though it has an amusing bonus in strengthening the parallels between Sunset and Twilight in this universe.Sunset mentors her metaphorical clone (Starlight) and Twilight mentors her literal clone. The parallel in the canon universe is kinda muddied by the fact that Starlight’s analog is literally another Twilight.

Because the Shimmerverse Luna actively chose the darker path willingly, while it’s implied canon Luna was more ‘infected’ by the growing darkness and hate. So the power’s gone, but the hate’s still there.

Oh yeah, certainly. An initially comedic scenario whiplashing into a genuine psychotic break? Perfect emotional manipulation. Reminds people that being put in comedic situation does not suddenly cure mental health issues, though I wonder why the Elements didn’t…
