Actually, I believe that’s where I first heard of that guy (the exploding X-Man, not Comic Drake), but it’s been years since I’ve seen that video, so that’s why I don’t remember much about him.

And I can see that as being the case too. With party ponies, they don’t actively choose to bend reality (like Discord) so much as reality simply follows their lead and bends according to what they’re thinking about doing. That’s a neat way to think about it.
 
With that said, can Meg here do something similar to what Discord does, albeit in a way specific to her power? You know, like can she actively decide to explode if a given situation like protecting other ponies or something requires a big enough boom? That’d be pretty cool =3 .

Yeah. It makes sense that Pinkie would have tangible magic instead of passive magic with all the crazy stuff she does. It could be too that Discord knows how to actually make it happen on demand where with Pinkie and Cheese and such it just happens passively :D

I did really like that little Easter egg they threw in there with Pinkie’s magic coming back to her; it makes so much sense considering all of the crazy things she’s capable of.
 
And the chaos magic headcanon isn’t a bad train of thought at all, especially when you take the time to consider that Earth ponies like Pinkie and Cheese don’t rely on spell casting to utilize their skills; they just sort of “make it happen”, which isn’t something that I think I’ve seen normal unicorns or even alicorns in the show duplicate with their powers.

A headcanon I like is that certain creatures are just born with chaos magic instead of the normal magic their species should have, and Discord, Pinkie Pie, Cheese Sandwich, and Party Favor are all examples of this. Like, chaos magic isn’t something a draconequus should normally have either, but since they live for such an abnormally long time he’s had a real long time to master it :P
 
It’s actually a canon thing that Pinkie Pie has unique magic no other earth pony has; she’s the only non-unicorn/alicorn to have a ball of magic return to her at the end of School Raze :D

To be fair, I agree. Pinkie’s physics seem to only apply to ponies who specialize in partying. Both Cheese Sandwich and Party Favor seem capable of her insanity as well.
 
Makes me think that party-oriented ponies would also make great superheros too xD .

She works like the Blast Mask from Majora’s Mask. She generates an explosion but she doesn’t technically blow apart. She’s just left stunned and all singed after it :D

Heck, even if she was blown apart we’ve seen that she could basically be reassembled like the joints of a Barbie doll.

Except maybe Pinkie, since she seems to follow her own cartoonish laws of physics anyway, she might survive it with little worse than some singed fur.
