Lone, the child did not say anything about starting a religion, she heard him talking about the show and thought he was making shit up that sounded religion, like celly and luna being his gods or something…

I remember reading a letter some crappy parent sent to a catholic magazine. She thought her daughter joined a sect of “Manga and Anima”.  
The best part was, the priest(?) responding pointed out she should have talked to her kid before sending said letter, explained what manga and anime are, and even tried to explain why it’s a phenomenon.

Yeah, because you have such little contact with your child that the first conversation you have with him about his obvious obsession with MLP is after he brings up starting a religion.  
You obviously didn’t have any questions about it or he might have mentioned that it was about the show at one point or another.
