I think it’s a good blending of all the previous TMNT series. The 80’s-90’s for Splinter’s origin, humor (minus the fourth-wall jokes), Krang (although the Kraang are a mixture of Krang and the Utroms), the mutation aspect and the Turtles eating pizza again and 2003/original comics which give us the personalities of the turtles, a dark, brooding Shredder (who actually looks pretty menacing I might add), Baxter Stockman being African-American and a less anthromorphic Leatherhead.
