I think it makes more sense for Hoofington to be at the river junction between Baltimare and Cathedral instead of way up north like it is on this map. Even Blackjack herself mentions that the Badlands are just to the south of Hoofington at one point. Besides, the Zebras came from the south, right? Hoofington was supposed to be on the front line of the conflict. The entire city is one big booby trap, after all.

Incidentally, Ananon, we’re just going by the official map, and they WERE shown to the south in “Dragon Quest”.  
I presume they’re supposed to be the Equestrian version of the Sierra Madre Oriental.

Luckily she avoided mention of whether or not certain things were required, like navies. So you can get away with some stuff. Really, the biggest thing the new map screwed up was Griffins, who everyone in any ‘war’ fic or Gildaship fic kept saying came from the north when they’re waaaay off in the east off-map. Since if they were european they would probably include a token piece of land off to the side to point to, I reckon instead they are the equivalent of baltic peoples, maybe they are Estonian or Finnish or Russians.

@LOVE She probably winged it, they never had a map till this year.  
Still she’s done okay, but now with the maps coming out, she better really start thinking about revising some locations, including the Zebra nation, it doesn’t look like it’ll be part of Equestria.

This is based off the map that Hasbro released which explains why everything seems out of wack. Since FOE was finished long before it was realesed Kkat probably thought the towns to be placed diferently. Don’t know if she had a map made or just winged it though.

Although I still don’t get the whole Ministry of Morale thing? Why drag 1984 into Fallout? That just doesn’t seem to mesh well in my opinion.
