Regardless of how THEY respond, we shape OUR world. And I miss to live in a world free of crazy shit that may provoke flamewars.  
Plus rape is a serious topic and these comments hardly are. But then again, what did I expect? Humanity is dead. Civility no longer exists. We’re all disappointing, meaningless piles of flesh that will eventually perish leaving no mark on the world whatsoever. Maybe valuing human life was my greatest mistake in life, other than being born.

As a PR tactic, it’ll work about as well as changing your clothes because the school bully didn’t like them: it’s not your hoodie that’s the problem, the bully is just using it as an excuse to be a bully. Same with internet trolls: they’ll find any excuse even if it has to be dug up from the darkest corner of obscurity, if it’s utter nonsense, if it only makes sense according to their twisted moral compass, or even if they have to make it up entirely.
 
Probably the most widely-known example of this irrational excuse-making for bullying and discrimination is the excuses produced by homophobes, the sum of which wouldn’t even fool a small child.
