Not that I agree with Starlight, but we should rememb er that Flash is a sloth. Sloths are not very fast, so I’m pretty sure he’s still reacting to Starlight.

Agreed, I never liked Octavia because of the fandom shipping her with DJ Pon3 who only got what, maybe 20 seconds of screen time in her first appearance? I never cared for flash or any of the EQG characters because never watched it. Sunset looks cool from a design standpoint. I probably would like to see her in equestria again. Why? Just to see how she reacts to suddenly being being back and naked all the time. That’s got to be a big woah moment.

I agree that sometimes the fandom can be really quick to judge whether a new character is hyped or condemned. When I joined the herd three years ago I couldn’t really understand the love for Derpy or Lyra only based around one or two things they did on the show. Or why people picked on Flash after EQG just because they made a new character Twilight’s crush.  
And that’s pretty much all you can do about it - tolerate it. It sure is annoying when there is always this one person who believes he alone wields the truth in his opinion. But it’s not like you’ll be able to change them in any way. As long as it is just your pride that’s hurt you can either swallow it or quit.

Sunset Shimmer has had 3 90 minute movies of character development, as a main character in all 3. At a one-a-year pace. Not a fair comparison.
 
This is why I get pissed when people bitch about Flash Sentry not having/getting any character development. We put him there by hating on him for being the crush. Now he’s the butt monkey.
 
Those of you who can’t stop whining about character development requirements in order to be a mane cast member have clearly failed to notice that in 6 seasons only Twilight has gotten any major character development so far. Rarity and Rainbow Dash are second, with Rarity expanding her business and Dashie getting her shot at being a Wonderbolt. The rest of the mane 6 have had comparatively minor development of their personalities.
 
The CMC have had more development than the mane 6, for crying out loud! We pick characters with ZERO personality (maybe with cute/shy traits at best) and make fanart by the hundreds! What makes Maud Pie, Marble Pie or Coco Pommel so endearing while Flash Sentry and Starlight Glimmer “need more development”? Why is one character with no personality better than another?
 
Stop arguing about stupid crap. 6 years of this fandom and we’ve devolved into squabbling brats. It gets worse every year. You all need to just stop. Stop taking shit so seriously. I’ve been a faithful member of this fandom since June 2011, and back then I was proud to be a brony because the community was so great. Now? I don’t call myself a brony anymore, and I despise this community of 5 year olds who won’t shut up about “Lauren’s original vision” and other pointless crap. Watch the show or don’t. I don’t care. But please, shut the fuck up about this stupid crap that doesn’t matter. If you really think it’s ruined forever, cry your eyes out and leave because bitching isn’t going to make anyone retcon anything.

Side note, All 3 are variations of what kind of character Twilight Sparkle could be. Trixie is showy but not too skilled at first. Sunset is power hungry and obsessive. Starlight is powerful and a bit dominant. Moon Dancer is an introvert. 1 more twilight clone and we have the mane 6 made only of Twilight clones.

Trixie- IMO she’s much better being shown in small quantities, otherwise she might just get annoying fast  
Sunset- has a lot of story potential and might even be able to get some growth and development out of the others. Also might provide some critical thinking to the show.  
Starlight- Don’t know that much about her except she is RR Sunset 2.0. So… inconclusive on that one.

I remember that Flash laughed. So, does that mean he laughs the hardest because Trixie is the most ridiculous pick?
 
But if I had to pick one … I actually rooted for Sunset Shimmer since the first movie.  
It doesn’t make sense to keep a pony in the human world to learn friendship only to keep the Mane 6 as six in Equestria. And then add Starlight to do just what Sunset could have done.  
Typical >BUY OUR TOYS< strategy by Hasbro. Without Sunset in the human world there wouldn’t have been any sequels to EQG which would have meant less toys to sell.
 
This doesn’t mean I dislike Starlight for that tho. I actually hoped that she stays with the Six after Season 5.

Thank you. Yea, I find a lot of the clickbait stuff really silly. I used to hate Octavia and DJ Pon3 images because they where grouped together simply because of them being musical ponies seen in different cities. I adored DJ Pon3 for some reason since the 1st season and Octavia I grew to dislike but meh. Majority won out and in the show their relationship makes a little more sense.

Sunset deserves to be in the garbage. I can’t stand her.
