See that is what i was thinking too. That some balloons get like that when they get necked. Besides a true big balloon with a neck it will get streched over and over. Thank you Eisnman.
Actually, that isn’t 100% true. BSA 17”s look like this when necked.
You are right in a way, but also a good 24 inch balloon when its stubborn and trying to do a blow to pop it can get a good neck and have the whole balloon be tight before popping. Thanks for that info also.
It would have to be a balloon specifically designed for that kind of air expansion. In the case of a normal balloon, the entirety of the balloon is roughly the same thickness as the rest, meaning there is no strain on different parts of the inflated balloon over others, so it takes on a fairly round shape. A long-necked balloon would have thicker material at the neck and normal thickness in the bottom, forcing the air to stretch more where it can easy press against.
