I’ve seen several commission info pages on some sites which seemed to be a joke (very untalented work, very high prices) but were serious. So the high price seemed unusual to me, but not unheard of. And the sketch not necessarily indicative of what the final piece would actually be.

Also stick with one identity, sockpuppeting is against the rules ’n shit.
No you don’t get it… half the joke is people that take this seriously. 50% of the joke is you.
Christ alive.
If the picture looks so much like a real commission that you literally can’t tell it’s a joke image, then most people are not privy to said joke so, ergo, it’s going to be considered a serious image by the mass percentage unless they are told by the source otherwise.
I mean, even considering this is obviously a joke ($100 would pretty much give you a full image by most any artists in the fandom, that are open to commissions), why do you even care about YCHs you aren’t interested in?

This is depressing.
How would anyone tell it’s a joke? I mean it looks real. If it’s a parody/joke, the artist should have a caption or a comment written in the description saying it’s a joke.
Now I’m wondering whether or not the “Poe’s law” tag is appropriate.
Looked like a real commission advert to me and to others, most would honestly not be able to discern this one from a ‘real’ one.
Dude, it’s a joke. The image is a joke.
=/
I’ve got no problems with people charging money for commissions, but it’s sorely lacking details. It could be an awesome detailed piece, or it could be just a simple profile sketch. If the latter, $100 seems a bit excessive. Especially given a lack of any other examples (unless the artist attached to that email address is well-known.)
If you’re referencing the 1.00/100 thing, I see people commonly misplace the dollar sign.

What? They have an extremely valid point. It looks like it says “100” so obviously there is going to be confusion. If the artist had simply added a “ . “ or maybe just leave it as $1, then we wouldn’t have this problem. Saying ‘plz’ is implying that they are being silly or wrong. Can you honestly say you don’t see it written as 100 dollars? I think not.
