Nothing can be worse than No Second Prances. Compared to that, it’s a good episode (if slightly cringey).

Eh, RD has shown that she’s let her ego get the better of her so that wasn’t out of place (this goes as far back as the running of the leaves vs AJ). There is also the fact that it’s incredibly serious if, say, a member of the Blue Angels borked up a performance for their own personal ego, thereby endangering them, their team, and the spectators.
 
Also it’s fairly commonplace that MOST nicknames in such places are VERY unflattering and highlight when you messed up.
