This is still very experimental, so feel free to report any bugs, inconsistencies or whatever problem you had while using Pony Viewer. Thanks again to DogDog for being the “HTC Vive” test subject. Developer rule n°1 : Everything work, until you try to show it to other people.
Known issues :
Tails can be weird for some ponies.
Some background ponies are unavailable in NSFW mode.
Configuration file :
Path for Android : “Android/Data/com.MLP.PoniesVRViewer/files/Settings.ini” (you will need an Android file editor)
Path for PC : “[WhereYouUnzippedTheApplication]\PonyViewer_Data\Settings.ini”
Write “NSFW” to unlock NSFW models.
Write “NOMIRROR” to deactivate reflections (can be buggy on some phones)
Blog with all this stuff and some tutorials to do your own Pony Viewer : GreyGears.Tumblr.com

Sorry, development for this stopped long ago.
I implemented some of this into VRChat tho, you can grab them in the Ponyville map or in this world :

Still working on VR pony stuff but next project won’t be out before a looong time.
Found it, thanks. Apparently there are multiple /data folders with “com.-stuff” subdirectories on my phone for some reason. I was looking in the wrong one.
@Background Pony #9214
The “com.MLP…” folder is automatically created during installation, by Android & Unity (it’s not in the .apk). Try to look into SideloadVR own “com.” directory, maybe they edit the internal app name during recompilation so that it appear as one of their own.
As for the osig files, I don’t even use one myself so those are added by SideloadVR. I guess they just don’t want to compile one version per user, since osig files aren’t that voluminous anyway.
Running this with GearVR under Sideload VR on a Samsung Galaxy S6 running Marshmallow, no such folder exists. I do have “Android/Data/” - .com-other stuff, but no MLP anything. And looking around the file system I don’t see anything similar elsewhere.
The 11976_PonyViewer045GearVR.apk file is actually sitting in the root directory of my phone.
Opening it with winrar, I see assets, lib, META-inf, res folders and some files…looking around, I don’t see a settings.ini anywhere. Closest I see is assets/bin/data/settings.xml, but that doesn’t contain any MIRROR or SFW flags.
Unrelated…it appears that you have a whole BUNCH of oculussig files in assets…that probably shouldn’t be that way. Those osig files contain unique device IDs. There should only be one of those corresponding with the device actually in use. I mean, sure, if you have one for yours for development use, plus the local user, that’s seems reasonable. But I have…234 osig files in my install.
Pose suggestions for the next version:
-Bring back IWTCIRD pose when NSFW mode is active
-Give a very slight body movement to IWTCIRD pose so it isn’t 100% static
-Make a pose where the pony looks over their shoulder back at you
@GreyGears
That is much better but I would think a way to bring them closer or put them at a distance would be better or even a way to increase or reduce their size.
@Akakun @PwnyPony
I uploaded a new version for Cardboard, it should fix the “too close” problem and the sky.
Also added a panel behind the user where you can switch between SFW and NSFW.
@EpicLPer
Nice ! I canceled the GearVR version when I headbutted into those security restrictions. I submitted the app to SideLoadVR, not sure if it will be accepted (or when).
You can try and use SideloadVR to make this available for the GearVR too, I can help you test it if you want. You can even use a bluetooth gamepads functions then.
Fun fact: I own that Ponyville map :P

I don’t know what the fuck you’re doing but it works perfectly fine for me…
No. The link for cardboard is still unavailable.
Thanks to EpicLPer and Skyworxx suggestions, the app is now also available to GearVR users.
@Puffy
Does it work now ?

Oh and I just checked, it’s already there!
Nice, thanks a lot!

-There’s a NSFW mode for this version?
Nice job.
