I like this ship because it brings to mind Trixie talking to Twilight about how they both came to be princesses.
 
Trixie: “Oh, you got it through years and years of study leading up to a weird spell that doesn’t actually do anything, and now you have tons of extra stress and responsibilities? That’s so nice for you, Trixie was made a princess by marrying the colt of her dreams, who happens to be gorgeous, by the way, and not so important that we don’t have a lot of time to spend together in the luxurious castle. Trixie will just leave you to your life of toil under the orders of a magic tree now, buh-bye!”
 
Trixie beats Twilight for life, basically.
