Description
“Sugar, sass, and a whole lotta class! These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little ponies. But Potion-maker Zecora accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction: Chemical MLP. Thus, the Powerpony Crusaders were born. Using their ultra-awesome powers, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo have dedicated their lives to finding their cutie marks and helping other ponies do the same.”
isnt she implied to be mayor’s mistress.
No, what she said was something along the lines of she thought that feminism was too “touchy” of a subject for a children’s cartoon, so she regretted the episode.
And yeah, modern day feminism is an absolute joke, not to mention the cancer that is Social Justice Warriors with their talk about “cis scum” and other crap like that.
Didn’t she dislike the backlash?
@Derpinator
Pretty sure they did watch that episode. It won’t be helpful for them, though. Modern feminism is defined by two things: total lack of self-awareness, and immediate and incredibly hostile reaction to anyone disagreeing, even if they also call themselves feminist (typical for fanatics, really). This ensues anyone self-aware enough to realize they’re doing shit will VERY quickly drop the label.
So people who keep calling themselves “feminists” aren’t self-aware and “regular” outside influence won’t make them self-aware, and once they become so through natural growth or immense shock, they will very quickly stop calling themselves feminists, whether out of disgust with “feminism”‘s actions such as actively protecting rapists and other criminals who happen to have a vagina (UK’s law definition of “rape” only includes women as assistants to male rapists, for example, and the other possible punishment is nowhere as severe - and this law has been upheld twice by women’s rights group), or because said “feminism” actively alienated them.
Her name was Femme Fatale. Ironically, Lauren Faust disliked that episode (she wrote it), even though it was generally considered to be a good episode.
Wow, all this talk about the reboot completely does not understand how Powerpuff Girls did show beautiful but empowered women. Ms. Bellum was a badass, remember when she kicked Sedusa’s ass?
Also, I think a lot of modern feminists should watch the classic powerpuff girls episode with the feminazi criminal. I don’t remember the name.
Edited because: Typo
Actually, I can’t remember a time where the Powerpuff Girls walked because they were depowered, the only time a villain depowered them successfully was in “Slumbering With The Enemy” in which Mojo Jojo dumped Antidote X on the girls, and I don’t think they walked after that, because the episode ended.
Now off the top of my head, which means there’s probably more then these, the times I remember them walking are: “Town and Out”, in which Citiesville banned superpowers, screw that episode, “Simian Says”, in which Mojo was the narrator and felt like being sadistic to them by forcing them to walk, and that episode that introduced Robin, because I remember her being surprised that they could fly, well after they had met.
And yeah, those idiots did shoot themselves in the foot by taking Ms. Bellum out of the show, because she was a strong female character.
Finally, I will say that the show didn’t use Antidote X enough, by which I mean it was only used twice against the girls, with only one of the two attempts being successful, but I guess we have fan works for that kind of plot.
Classic modern feminism: screeching about “WE EMPOWER WOMEN” while not just being unable to recognize the truly empowered, but being offended by them.
Edit: oh, also! Remember how the only episodes where PPG actually walked were ones where they were depowered, and hovered otherwise? In the reboot they don’t float, ever.
@Natry
As far as I’m inclined, the only vaguely interesting thing that came out of the reboot is the replacements of Bubbles “me no gusta” face, since that was ordered by someone who completely fails to understand Internet at any point of time, and drawn by someone who doesn’t even have it.
Edited
Oh yeah, that was pointless too.
Also, Miss Keane’s boobs have been removed.
Yes, in fact, they shoehorned her in an episode in which she leaves, and that didn’t even have her in but two minutes or so, so why did they even put her in the episode instead of just not having her appear at all?
I’m actually kind of nervous to see the Rowdyruff Boys, to be honest.
They actually removed Miss Bellum?! I’m glad I never bothered to watch any of the new reboot episodes.
Unfortunately, they’re all female and they all kind of stopped being jerks one way or the other. And no, the irony of how that is a common thing in Powerpuff Girls fanfiction is not lost on me (Sturgeon’s Law applies as usual to those fics, as there are good ones that do just that).
So to be honest, I’ve got nothing..
A perfect example of them completely missing the point was when Ms. Bellum was removed because she was a sexist character or something (that’s what I understood from the statement, anyway), even though the exact opposite was true.

Babs.
No?
Now who would the Rowdyruff Boys be?
Why “kinda”? It objectively sucks. The new makers took out pretty much everything that made original good, on purpose, because they completely missed the point.
Too bad the new reboot of PPG kinda sucks…

If Spike were to be neglected by Twilight in favor of Twilight-Time and then subsequently went evil, he’d be a good candidate for Mojo Jojo.
And maybe Discord as Him?
Twilight or maybe Sunbutt would be the professor.
chemical F (friendship)
kicking evil butt not crusaderinging.
Who would be mojo jojo and him?
