They weren’t cheap. £6.50 for the set, 15 pencils.
 
And they smudge easily too. Apparently if you go over these with a wet brush, they look like the picture’s been painted, not coloured with pencils.

That is surprising good considering it’s from WHSMith. I use some Staedtler pencils from Rymans for my traditional art. They’re great, but I’ve been looking to usual something different for a while now.

Got a set of ‘watercolour pencils’ from the local WH Smith.
 
They give a more uniform finish, but shading with them is not viable.
 
Main reason I got them is because the yellow I was using has been dropped at some point.  
When I tried to sharpen it, the point just kept falling off.
