Both Aria and Sunny were great characters who both get so under looked. Especially Sunny, I must be the only one who liked her more then Lemon zest, who I’m still wondering what’s so interesting about her anyways. What I don’t understand is that numerous background characters get loved only because of fanfictions but yet these two get so much undeserved hate.

These two need to be paired up for a crazy adventure of some sort!

I really like how they just work with it anyway in the that sleepover book and make her the source of Sugarcoat and Sour Sweet jerkish behaviour. Maybe the reason she didnt speak much during the games is that, just like any other jerks, they are actually very little people, and instantly fell out of place when they arent in their usual zone. She dont know how to react when she were shoved by thr general cheerfulness of thr CHS.

But she stood out less. Lemon distinguished herself by being genuinely nice, if overbearing and largely oblivious to reality. Sunny just came across as “Bitch #3.” Admittedly, that kind of works as a dark reflection of Rarity—it’s the sort of character Rarity might have become in less competent hands—but it still gives little to work with.

Well, it’s not for no good reason.
 
Aria is unpopular because while Sonata was a ‘cute,’ unthreatening valley girl that a lot of people interpreted to be good just because, and Adagio was smart, sexy, and a pretty amazing villain, Aria was pretty much just a a bitch; always complaining, but never offering solutions, always the one who started the arguments with Sonata, never really showing any depth or interesting qualities.
 
Sunny Flare is similarly shallow, but with even fewer lines. What we see of her is that she’s short-tempered and comes off as kind of a condescending bitch. (“Sorry, honey, but these games aren’t about being nice.”) Other than Sugarcoat and Sour Sweet, the Shadowbolts got ripped off overall in the personality department, but Sunny has nothing going for her.
 
That, I think, is why they’re unpopular; fanon aside, they’re kinda just bitches with little or no redeeming traits. That said, I can agree that Sonata and Lemon Zest are much, much more popular than they have any right to be, especially Lemon (whose only independent lines involve being noisy and irritating, not even dumb for the sake of exposition like Sonata).

yeah but sonata likes taco and i’d say she’s dumb as a post but wouldn’t want to offend posts.

They’re both criminally underrated, and for no good reason as Aria got more lines than Sonata and Sunny had more lines than Lemon but both are accused of saying the least in their respective movies.

At least Aria only had to compete with two others. Sunny barely got a chance to do anything.
