See, I said there was a face-melting scene coming up.
Some people can express very much in body language and expressions, but can’t express themselves well in writing.
Maud is just the opposite.
My thoughts? A desire to be in control. Possibly some sort of slight trauma that made her reluctant to show her emotions for fear of being judged. General shyness…or even perhaps an odd way of thinking. She seems like the top that might control her emotions to make them more meaningful when she did show them.
I always took it for granted that Maud was just plain stoic, like a lot of folks I’ve known.
She is way more intense.
Some people are just naturally very deadpan; it’s not that they’re actively trying to hide their emotions, it’s just that they don’t come through all that much. Maybe Maud is just an extreme version of that?
