Though to be honest it does seem like Wohler’s Synthesis was more the emblematic tip of the iceberg than the bulk of the debate, but it still seems significant enough to be acceptably true to say, as long as it’s noted that there’s a lot more to it than that.

I appreciate not dying of renal failure, but that’s about as far as my appreciation of urine goes. Well, that, and artificially synthesizing urea was a milestone in the Enlightenment to dispel old ideas like Vitalism.
