Eh, it’s not that I outright hate her or anything, it’s just how her characters’ written. It just all seems so half-assed whenever she does something.

I don’t think you’re giving Original Cadance enough credit. She broke Shining Armor out of his brainwashing and beat Chrysalis after both Celestia and the Mane Six failed, kept Sombra out of the Crystal Empire on her own until they found the Crystal Heart, horn-lasered the hell out of the Tatzlwurm, and has thus far managed to keep Flurry Heart from killing anypony important. And she certainly doesn’t share Celestia’s share Celestia’s unfortunate habit of being used as a punching bag every third two-parter. The only time she got beaten on-screen is by Tempest, who got in a cheap shot, and she still managed to put up a better defense than Celestia or Luna did.

Not to mention Shining Armor and the baby’s grandparents. Oh, and also Celestia (who pretty much raised Cadance and Twilight) and Luna, who is friends with Twi.
 
So… yeah. One would have to be either powerful enough to take out 4 alicorns and 3 unicorns all at once - or simply too dumb to live.

They must have a death wish. Cadance isn’t the only one they have to worry about. Twilight will be ticked, too.

Too bad the actual Cadence isn’t like this when shit hits the fan.

This is amazing! I really wish we would see more epic Alicorn fighting action. I think Celestia is a sleeping giant and capable of so much more than what we have seen but she holds herself back since banishing her sister. Princess Cadance looks really fearsome here.
