Emerald and Ruby return to the book, and say that they’ll think of a way to smuggle her out, but they’ll be spending the night so they’ll worry about it tomorrow.
 
Pip gives a cheer and a happy “Hooray!” Before her voice is muffled heavily by being placed back in the bookcase.
 
Emerald, not forgetting the reason he came here in the first place says that the zombies are actually quite nice and she shouldn’t be scared of them.
 
Ruby laughs nervously without looking at Emerald, and then says that she’ll give talking to them a shot.
 
Emerald realizes he could probably hang around with Ruby and the zombies a bit and then go to sleep, unless there is anything else he might want to do.
