mane seventag was in use before season 5. (And yes, I agree it should be “main seven” because Spike doesn’t have a mane, but that battle was lost years ago.)buddy, the answer to this question is very simple. There are sometimes a few people don’t know how to tag and the misstag from time to time, or they don’t bother with reading tag descriptions, despite them being there, whatever the case, the tag hasn’t changed, it’s still mane 6 + Spike.
as for Spike’s position being compromised, as the 7th member of the group, really man? next thing you’re gonna tell me is Fluttershy or Rarity are lower tier main characters than Starlight.

No it has not. XD Mane 7 was brought up more and more during season 5. In the spin-off film Friendship Games, with Sci -Twi into the mix. They are called the HuMane 7. Spike is just a associate to each group. Plus, Spike is a dragon. He has NO “mane” so it does not make any sense.

The term “Main/Mane 7” has been in use, if somewhat sporadically, ever since I’ve been in the fandom (starting just before season 2). And try searching
mane seven, -spikeand examining the results.Starlight is in several of those pics so thats not a strong declaration. Besides, where was spike when it was just called the Mane 6 before season 5 introduced Starlight and changed the status quo?
nope, the mane 7 tag refers to mane 6 and spike
Spike is not part of the mane 7. Starlight is the seventh or at least shaping up to be one.
