The Dark Siren.
The Monarch of the Black Sanctuary.
The Mistress of Reflections.
Queen Chrysalis.
Her love for her husband King Ao, and the birth of their daughter Princess Sky sparked something within the Queen of the Changelings. Witnessing her daughter’s love for the ponies the Queen has pushed her distrust for them aside, if only to keep her daughter’s face smiling bright. Together with her husband King Ao they have begun an attempt to promote the acceptance of changelings to other species.
Xenia, Xena, Xenos. Many changelings have recently heard of the cloaked “foreigner” bearing a mirror. A travelling individual sometimes female, sometimes male, from varying origins and species. Poor and bitless the stranger seeks a meal and a place to stay… just for the night. Those that are kind, that are appreciative, and generous are rewarded the next day. Those who snobbishly refuse to share their riches, or attack the stranger know the shame of having dishonored their King and Queen be known by those around them.
So the next time you see a foreigner remember! Don’t be so quick to judge a book by its cover… you might just be making a great mistake.
Fun Fact
Queen Chrysalis is the descendant of a great line of changelings called “Mirrorhoof” and possesses mastery over the magic of mirrors and reflective surfaces.
The mirror is enchanted. It will obey no illusion, none will be able to lie in front of it
There is a series of chambers deep within the pallace called “The Halls of Reflection”. The mirrors, lens, and other reflective surfaces inside are arranged so that when one is standing in the center they… will see their future or future self, to those that can think clearly enough to interpret what they see at least. It’s dangerous to go inside unprepared, especially if one suffers from seizures as the reflected lights may cause madness. Inside those halls are also special mirrors in which special prisoners are imprisoned. Prisoners of all species that have wronged the Kingdom or our Queen. The prisoners can’t escape, and most don’t attempt to do so because of lack of mastery over the Queen’s sector of magic. They know that if they do one step wrong they might as well consider themselves dead, because one wrong spell might as well mean the shattering of their mirror which maintains their existence.”
