Because at some point I wanted to draw Fluttershy as Daenerys Targaryen.
I really like the idea of beautiful, seemingly-non-powerful girls having power over vicious and dangerous beasts, and I think Fluttershy fits that. Discord basically becomes putty around her, and would probably do anything for her affections, which is why it’s lucky that Fluttershy doesn’t want to burn Equestria to the ground or plunge it into chaos.
