K.I.T.T. & K.A.R.R. were identical in season one, then K.A.R.R. was changed to have a silver/gray bottom half, the red scanner on the front was changed to an amber color & then the voice box bars color was also changed inside from red to green.
 
Yellow. His voice box was yellow, and his scanner was changed to match in his second episode. The explanation for the scanner changing colors (as well as his mental state deteriorating like it did) was exposure to salt water under the sand since his first episode.
