That would explain why the Element of Magic is different from all the rest.
 
There are five normal Elements, and the sixth Element is itself brought to life by the magic of friendship, harmony, imagination, et cetera.
 
Twilight literally exists to be pulled out of the ether whenever Celestia or the Mane Five needs a problem solved.
 
Guard Captain Shining Armor was assigned to play the role of Twilight’s big brother when Celestia sent her to protect Cadance. Princess Cadance got her own Twilight doll and chose a backstory of being her foalsitter. That’s why we never heard of either before they showed up.
 
The Mane Five travel around with their Twilight dolls and talk to them regularly, so they all agree on what has happened with Twilight and Twilight remembers living with them.

She misses Twi, but it kinda looks like she turned Twi into a plush

Twilight: “Your all crazy!”
 
Celestia: “Well my Twilight thinks we’re all extremely amusing, and just can’t believe how fun meetings can become. Isn’t that right Twilight?

Trixie: “Ha! Trixie’s Twilight thinks your Twilight wouldn’t know the real meaning of ‘fun’. She looks so bored over there.”
 
Celestia: “Oh, that’s because she’s a bit lonely over here. Maybe your Twilight would like come over here and keep her company?”
 
Trixie: “YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER!”
 
 
The casting of a Come-To-Life spell would most likely be the only way this would end. Though it might end poorly for Twilight.
