Description
So I was thinking what if there was a cursed “artifact” for every pony species? The Alicorns have the Alicorn Amulet and unicorns have this mask. You put it on, and you become a unicorn, with all the magic potential and prowess you would currenty have had you been born and lived your whole life as one. The catch? Not only is the mask alive (she, still alive, becomes your cutie mark when you wear her), but the only way to turn back into your former shape is if the mask herself decides to let you and she’s convinced beyond all reason that being a unicorn is the greatest thing possible. She’s not actively malicious, but convincing her to (in her opinion) make you suffer whatever creature you were that isn’t a unicorn when she could keep you as one might take some clever trickery on your part, and she’s not above some trickery to “convince” you to put her on either…

So, if someone, hypothetically of course, had a means of transforming that hurt to the point where even the strongest of wills become convinced that they will explode if they make even the TINIEST of mistakes, would the pain of this transformation cause her to bail out of not wanting to explode?

This one actually transforms you completely. No matter what you are, if you put it on you’re transformed into a unicorn with whatever power and knowledge of magic you’d have had if you were born as a unicorn. You could even depower someone like Princess Celestia or Discord with it :D
