I don’t Shining Armor will be #KillAllChangelings, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he is rude or jerkish to Thorax in this episode.
 
Shining has already been in one Changeling invasion, so I could see him at the very least being paranoid of this changelings motivations.  

 
Jarkes I don’t think I’ve read any of the fanfictions that you did, but that does sound entirely like stuff that people would write.
 
Also, I’ll be disappointed if speculation about the episode turned out to be a lot more fun than what we actually get, but I’m still hopeful for it.

Shining Armor isn’t a blank slate. He is a fully developed character with a personality. If he was ever written and portrayed in this kind of violent, racist manner in the show, especially After the invasion, then maybe I could understand where you’re coming from here.
 
But he simply hasn’t. He’s a caring big brother, a loving husband and father and a diligent Captain of the Guard whose duty is to protect his country and family from threats.

And believe me, Jarkes, I hate it when he’s portrayed this way oh so many times in fanfictions. Because you know, even if I could be sold on it, it’d still need to be portrayed very convincingly, ie gradually. As in, the writers actually take time to show how he got to this point. Instead of just ‘Invasion boom Pony Hitler’ You know why we almost never see that in those stories?
 
Because that would mean the authors would have to show Shining as understandably sympathetic in his prejudice and heaven knows a lot of people can’t have that. So many authors and fans simply flat out deny Shining Armor any right to be angry over what happened to him and his wife.
 
In this situation of the upcoming episode, Shining has every right to protect his family and nation from the threat of another invasion a changeling spy would hail. Yes, we know that’s not what’s happening (at least in the sense that Thorax is not a spy), but that’s something called ‘Fourth Wall Myopia’: how the hell is Shining supposed to know this member of a species infamous for shapeshifting trickery isn’t just playing Spike and really is a spy? Is he really supposed to just take Spike’s word for it that he’s cool?

No. It still would be OOC for him to have a genocidal attitude towards them.
 
I hate fanfics that make him a racist who wants to wipe out all Changelings solely to make the Changelings look more sympathetic. And I hate it even more when it’s a fanfic that makes him a racist who wants to wipe out all Changelings… who the story treats as being in the right.

Considering what the Changelings did to Cadance and him, I don’t think “kill ’em all!” would be that far OOC for Shining.

Not just shining armor, twilight and cadence know changeling are not welcome in the crystal empire or canterlot because the lie, turn your friends against each other with deception, and drain love,but I get the feeling the twilight and the royals may put the wedding incident aside, who knows, the changeling were once ponies

Because as a former guard captain and new dad, it might be saner to actually start being protective, instead of a speed bump to every possible threat?
