Previous episodes: Flight to the Finish, Three’s a Crowd (with Meghan McCarthy), and The Cart Before the Ponies (with Mike Vogel co-credited on story).
It’s just a bit of cheeky bantz, nothing wrong with that.
nice meme
You read the part where I said I don’t like /mlp/ circlejerking any more, right? Because you turned right around and wrote a novel about how much it sucks like I have any intention of defending it. And just to cover my bases, I might as well mention that Reddit is pretty shit too in that department.
And piss off with the idea that I compare it to Game of Thrones or whatever you’re trying to say. I hold the show to it’s own merit, and if it entertains me, I like it, and if it doesn’t, I don’t. You don’t have to agree with me, but I’m not going to pretend I like something that I don’t because you want to ‘have fun’ with your ‘escapism’.

That was painful to read as well between all the chan memespeak and ego.Regardless you like it or not, when people interact in a group, there’s a consensus who emerge, regardless of it’s
aspirationpretention of being structurelessness.EQD consensus is “have fun”,Channers consenus is spamming Moe Szylack reaction image with the caption “>>>>It’s already shit anon” a propos of everything.Channers are merely fooling themselves,it’s the first hivemind that scream “we’re not an hivemind” in unison,an echo chamber where the malcontent scream at the wall.Sorry, bud, but between unpleaable Simpson Comic Books Guys and people who genuinely want to have fun,my choice was made long ago.Just dont act as if your own brand of circlejerk is superior because it act nihilist and it’s the supposed “mature and TOODEEP4U it’s called subtext Steven” way to consume media. The only reason why more people dont join your circlejerk is not because it’s the grown boy club,it’s that it’s toxicity drive away sane people.MLP was always about escapism, not obsessive nerd level of college-tier litteray analysis. That what i was “on” about the GoT comparaison because people here have such disproportionate expectation on a show which sole pretention is to entertain with cute imagery@Background Pony #6B9B
“I secretly hate myself”
Eh,your words, not mine
That explain a lot btw
Jesus Christ, that was painful to read.
>not some Game of Thrones-esque Shakespearean tragedy.
The hell are you on about? Why is this relevant?
>the consensus that developed in this particular community
Kek. GG on proudly admitting to my issue with the site. The ‘General Consensus’. Either agree with it or gtfo, you’re just a h8r. Dissenting opinion isn’t allowed there last time I checked. This is what we call a hugbox.
>”high” “”””“standards””””””””
By high standards I assume you mean preferring that people be able to disagree with me? Oh yeah, that’s pretty unreasonable.
>sdo you feel left out and went to the opposite, a circlejerk where everyone is mad and where everything is always ruined forever.
In other words
>>>>>4Chan
Oh my god, how did you do that? It’s like you know everything about me!
Except for the fact that you don’t, of course.
I knew and visited 4chan before FiM existed. I wasn’t ‘driven’ there by a bunch of spergs on a website about MLP. And you know what? I don’t even like /mlp/ any more than I like your safe space. So nice try, but you struck right out on that one, pal.
EQD is a place where people want to have fun with their favorite series which happen to be an escapist show, not some Game of Thrones-esque Shakespearean tragedy.FTFY,you’re just calling it a hugbox because the consensus that developed in this particular community didn’t fit your “high” “”””“standards”””””””” sdo you feel left out and went to the opposite, a circlejerk where everyone is mad and where everything is always ruined forever.
In other words
>>>>>4Chan
I dunno, I just didn’t care for it. I mean, it wasn’t terrible, I just didn’t enjoy it like most people did.
@TexasUberAlles
>Even the good ones
People are allowed to just… not like episodes, even the good ones. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A lot of the people who complained about it when it first aired, though, were pretty obviously sore that it either ruined their Scootaloo headcanons– whatever those might have been– or that she didn’t suddenly develop the ability to fly normally; there also were plenty who were reeeaaallly mad that they didn’t get to see Diamond Tiara GIT REKT for being such a scumbag as to mock a crippled kid.
Why the hell did you not like flight to the finish?
I’ve never liked FttF. TaC was passable I guess, and I don’t believe I’ve seen the last one.
>supposed hugbox
>supposed
EqD is a hugbox. No ‘supposed’ about it.
One thing I’m curious about, though: I thought, at the time, that FttF was pretty popular in the fandom, and TaC, while a bit more polarizing, had more fans than detractors. But when this news was posted on EqD, opinions in the comments seemed to be running about 50/50 on FttF and very heavily negative on TaC. Did I get the wrong impression two years ago, has opinion shifted on those episodes since then, or were the critics just disproportionately represented on the supposed hugbox of EqD?
