The only way to do that is to make it really high quality fan art, and perhaps change the angle so the untrained eye can’t immediately see the similarity.

No, I’m not being sarcastic. I can see that some amount of effort was made (you can’t readily tell this is an edit if you have never seen the original image, look up some of Kraus’ edits to see what I’m on about), where it could also have been a two-minute MS Paint effort.
 
Yes, it might have been better had OP used his or hers edit skills for something less suspectible of downvotes, but it is amazingly good fun to intentionally trigger people once in a while, and effort was made, so I can appreciate that.
 
I also never really had a problem with the original image to be honest. And like someone else already pointed out, a lot of downvotes on the original Bieber pic were actually from someone abusing image mergers (uploading flashlight drama and then dupreporting them, back then you could accept dupe reports on things you uploaded) otherwise it might not even be the most downvoted image.

I love it when people make the effort to edit some of these. For maximum effect, you should probably also make an edit where Rarity doesn’t have a towel but Pinkie does.
