I did low-poly models back then that matched N64 level with shading and texturing and whatnot, I didn’t like it as much.
 
Low Poly only really works in a modern setting with a pixel-art like style, from what I’ve felt.
 
EDIT: My low-poly models themselves drew up from this, kept changing them to look better and better.

What the Fluff?
Both her and Scootaloo seem about N64-level for the model, and PSX-level on the textures. I’m not sure if the program you’re using can do Gouraud shading., but if so, it would look even more like an N64 model.
