I just wish the writers made Twilight a bit more consistent. But sadly I doubt random little feats will ever get explained.
 
Originally I can understand, she’s a powerful unicorn who has to have some power incontinence to not overshadow her friends. But the season 4 opener already proved that no matter how powerful she is, especially after becoming an alicorn even if she has yet to prove she has received any significant power-up other than flight and perhaps being able to wield all 6 elements herself she still needs her friends and she can never overshadow them. So please, let her show off her magical strength, then we have unicorns like Starlight who despite clearly being chosen as the Element of Magic (and by extension friendship)apparently overshadow her in that aspect. It doesn’t matter if Twilight can do what any of the mane five can do but better, she needs them regardless and the rest of the mane five acknowledge it. Twilight should be the Saitama of friendship here.

In order to rival twilight’s power it takes a unicorn or being with powerful magic. That’s the whole problem.

You keep looking at an incredibly few Unicorns. Glimmer and Twilight in particular and saying just because those few can be OP then Unicorn Magic must be OP when its just those two with their natural talents that put them above most everyone else.
 
You’re blatantly ignoring the potential for other races having exceptional members that are the equivalent of those two and making any excuse to say that Unicorns will be above them.

Honestly part of why I liked Starlight as a villain during her first appearance was because she wasn’t some super powered being when I first saw her o.o; …or so I thought XD

Point taken! But why are random unicorns so powerful to begin with. I think many unicorns are more powerful then we give them credit for. The flim flam brothers for example with their magic powered machine. Who knows how many there are really. I mean Glimmer just happened to have crazy ideas. A normal unicorn with such magic wouldn’t get recognized as the most powerful but they would still have that power. Are they really just the 1%?

If that can be replicated, yes. MacIntosh can pull a house, but a cake makes him buckle.
 
Regardless, the show doesn’t make a point of feats like that in a serious manner. And that’s not even taking into account how it, as you noted, pales compared to Starlight, or Discord, or Chrysalis, or Tirek, or even Trixie with the amulet.
 
Don’t get me wrong, I would love if they made an Earth Pony villain. Give them powers like Gloriosa did, or Maud’s strength and super-toughness. Heck, the Flim Flam brothers could’ve worked, but they’re also Unicorns!

Maybe not for the heroes, but for the villains, it definitely is about power. Look at the roster: Alicorn, Draconequus, Alicorn-thing, Unicorn, demon Centaur (and Draconequus), Unicorn, Unicorn, Alicorn-thing… They were all a threat because of their powerful spellcasting.

Well first you’d have to catch her and we don’t know if when something struggles while being levitated is it still easy to hold especially if you’re levitating someone with strong muscles. Also how would long you be able to hold up another pony of your size?

Yeah, but these casters are the problem. What can counter them exept magic itself? Now if any powerful caster had some kind of innate weakness that would be different. Or if magic like the alicorn amulet could be countered somehow except the way they did in the show. By doing something to the unicorn wearing it. Glimmer is just a random unicorn that appeared out of nowhere and had amazing powers. If a unicorn really wanted it what stops them?

Magic should be nerfed? wut? Aside from the princesses and Starlight nopony can be considered overpowered in magic and even them makes sense since they went through intense practice learning and good genes.

No, that’s not what I meant. I mean that either magic should be nerfed somehow or these incredible casters should not have these powers since they can outshadow anything except if the writing ignores them. And it just seems like the other unicorns are not using their power correctly. Any earth pony or pegasus could be stopped with magic.
