Well, whatever, i should be glad i can’t see whatever is pissing you guys off.
I’m an absolutely awful artist and I still notice chromatic aberration. It’s not just a thing only “adepts” see and criticize.
Games like Payday 2 and Dying Light were heavily criticized for having aberration you can’t turn off. I doubt many of the people complaining were “adept artists”.

That is the price of becoming adept in something, you start to see the faults that always were there but you couldn’t see/care about before.
I onced talked with an anon that, due to his work making electronic music for games, could heard faults in game music he used to like, this depressed him a lot because now he cannot listen that music without feeling it “wrong”.

It’s not like only “advanced” artist that can spot it and dislike it, but I see a lot of them do. For me, CA has become pet peeve with how it distorts images unnecessarily and messes with the palette, and thus I’m pretty quick to spot it.
Oh, is one of those things only people trained on the subject can see/heard.

The difference is the most visible by the hooves. Chromatic aberration is an art meme at this point that really most artist who do use it only uses it because it’s popular.
To me (and most of my artist friends), it’s hard on the eyes - especially in more extreme cases - and it really does nothing to help strengthen a still fantasy image like this.
