I have high hopes for this villain. Am I ready to have those hopes crushed like Spikes crush on Rarity? Oh hell yes.
 
Yet, I can still hope for a decent villain, I wouldnt care if he gets reformed at the end, as long as he doesnt get one hit ko’ed by the deus ex machina known as the magic of Friendship.
 
I hope this pony turns out to be the opposite of Twilight, by that I mean opposite in terms of destinies. While Twilight was groomed by fate to be the princess of friendship and potentially an immortal alicorn, Shadowlock is the pony who destiny forgot. Luck is always against him and is forced to struggle. I want him to have hopes and dreams that fate continually suppresses and which ultimately leads him into confrontation with the very elements that forgot him.
