You haven’t read the jornal of the two sisters then XD. When the castle of the two sisters was completed Princess Celestia invited other ponies (the leaders of the original pony tribes) to give them a tour around the new castle, but princess Luna did not feel like doing that so she and faked that she was sick just to stay in bed and get out of it. Some moments later she got bored and met up with chancellor Pudding Head and started pulling pranks using the traps Luna set up in the castle upon its construction while Celestia was trying to give a tour.
 
She is not as uptight as she seem, Oh and the Luna micro features a lot more of her lazy side.
 
Still when the night comes she does her own duties such as taking care of the beasts in the Everfree Forest, sometimes attending social activities (which she absolutely hates A’s said in “Princess Luna and the festival of winter moon”), and most known, helping ponies with their nightmares.
 
So Luna really isn’t uptight nor all lazy, she goes by her own rules, it’s kind of weird, but I can relate XD.

I don’t really think that Luna would be the one to oversleep. She just seems like someone who would like to do things properly, according to tradition. Also, I presume it’s pretty obvious that she has a great passion for her job, loves the night and just wouldn’t forget about her duties.
