Actually tbh, I hadn’t liked his art style very much at all, personally anyway. I’m not saying he’s a bad artist, by Celestia he’s great. It’s just the particular approaches he takes don’t have my same taste in appeal. However I know what he does is loved by many. I wouldn’t insult CPM by comparing my personal piece of junk to what he can make.  

 
 
As an aside, an artist can attempt to study another by drawing in manner that they interpret. Doing this can also help force an artist to open up to new options in the art program or methods they use.
 
The only thing I really got away from this was a slightly changed method to how I do my eyes, puff out the cheeks for added cuteness effect (when desired) and a realization that I need to thicken my eyebrows, not just make them long for what I do.
 
I still can’t help myself on feather fletchings and bigger hooves and oversized ears though.
