There used to be times where I thought so innocently, too. But since then, I have realized that sometimes, brony artists do make art for the reasons I named, including, but not limited to, “fixing” episodes in their fics.

CMC Scootaloo, I don’t think TJponies is “salty” or otherwise has any sort of vendetta against this character or the movie. I think he drew this because he found the idea amusing, and drawing funny comics is his thing.
Either that or he’s making fun of the people who are salty about it.
First, I get that. I’m saying the creator of the picture is probably salty because “Edgy OC” and created this picture as a result of said saltyness, either to silently protest against the character or to express his wishes that the reason will be a mundane one and that she is only a humorous character.
Second, don’t start your responses to me with “dude” if you expect answers in the future. I’m not your dude.

Anyway, her horn’s broken, not gone. She can still do magic, but you probably shouldn’t trust her with the important spells.
Well… I mean, earth ponies have magic. So do pegasi. Think of pony magic as focused on one particular region, like on wings or horns. The reason earth ponies don’t have much magic is because it’s spread out through their body evenly.
But pegasi and unicorns aren’t like that. If you cut of a pegasi’s wings, they can’t fly. So it’s only fair that if you cut off a horn, they can’t do magic.
They still HAVE magic, but they just can’t use it. You see what i’m saying?
i like to believe their magic powers are inate and dont depend on a keratin shell to work.
Dude, the joke is that this is an incredibly mundane reason instead of some “edgy tragic backstory”.
