Don’t really see the difference honestly. I will admit “Metroidvania” style games are among my favorite game genre. They’re kinda like a sidescroller with RPG features.

Super Metroid was my first, and it made me love the series, (frankly, I like the Metroid series much better then Pokémon, I even hear the controversial spinoff game “Federation Force” is better then some give it credit for) but to each their own. I guess exploring, backtracking when you get a new item, blowing up walls, and shooting things isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

@Joshua
I love the Zelda series too, ever sense I was little.

I played metroid prime on the emulator, but i found it pretty meh. And then i tried super metroid and yet didn’t like it. I just don’t know why i can’t like it. I mean, i like castlevania a lot, but not metroid.

Honestly, the graphics on all modern consoles don’t look much different to me, so they’re not really a priority. A new Pokémon game would be nice, but honestly, I’d rather see one of Nintendo’s more “dead” series come back, like say Metroid, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, heck, I’d even accept a new Ice Climber game.

But pokemon on the switch would be great for the console. It would sell a lot. And seeing how the switch is more powerfull than the wiiu, imagine seeing a pokemon game with grafics like pokken tournament

Yeah, despite being cheaper here in America, $300 bucks isn’t cheap for a person like me. Plus I only had a WiiU over a year, and 3 months, so I’m not ready to “upgrade” to a new system yet. (Got a good deal on mine, got the limited edition SSB/Splatoon WiiU deluxe set. Though, honestly I feel Splatoon’s a great game, it feels like it lacks any features for local/offline play, and is a bit overrated. Hope the sequel improves those things, and isn’t just online play, which got kinda old for me after awhile. Especially, how long it takes to level-up.)

I also, want to wait, and see if the new system will have any longevity, seeing how quickly third-parties, the media, & Nintendo themselves pretty much turned their back on the WiiU…

I hear rumors a successor to the 3DS might be in the works. I’d rather get that, even if it’s just a more powerful 3DS, with some new features.

I won’t buy the switch yet. It’s too expensive to me (especialy in brazil, where everything is expensive in this shity country)

Also, the best we all should do is wait 1 or 2 years to see the games that the console will have

And here i am waiting for a pokemon game on the switch

Well, nice to see people are enjoying it so far. Personally, though I’m going to stick with my WiiU, seeing as I’m one of the few who genuinely enjoy that console. (Hope it will still get VC games for awhile. Got some good TurboGrafX16 games this week.)

Honestly, despite always being a huge Nintendo fan, I’m not really “sold” on the Switch yet. Some games look great, (Super Mario Odyssey, Arms, Sonic Mania, the new Bomberman) but that’s about it.
Expensive controllers, required internet subscriptions, dull lifeless interface menus, no internet browser, or video aps, no backwards compatibility, and such don’t really excite me.
Sorry to be “that guy,” but I might get one some day regardless.

Interestingly, I hear Japan & Europe will have Neo Geo games as part of it’s Virtual Console. (Which were also on Wii, yet oddly not on WiiU.)
That means, America will likely get them several months, or years after they do, like most VC games. ;)
(Well, I shouldn’t tease about that too much. We finally got “Harvest Moon 64” on WiiU VC, and Natsume claimed years back it’d be impossible to port to the original Wii VC back then.)
