Please comment on this, as its my first properly detailed pony vector that I’m reasonably happy with. The more people that like it the more likely I’ll make more, with even more details.
@fsLeg
I have done this too… enh… in the end its just a hobby, and will likely help what I do for a profession in the future (make my own business cards, custom engraving, etc.)
One of these days, probably this year sometime, I really wish to do some inkscape funding to make it better. One of the features I’m eyeing is whiteboard which will likely cost ~$500 to have it programmed in. Aside from that is the never-ending bug fixes and optimizations that are necessary.
@tiwake
Yeah, I remember my adventures with vectors. They take a lot from you. They took a lot from me, who can’t draw at all, and I just traced a few images. My vectors were half-assed too, so I was too ashamed to share the SVG. I can’t imagine how exhausted you are after a project of this scale.
In the future you can try cooperating with someone who can draw better to sketch the scene for you so you could just focus on working with the vector.
@fsLeg
There is another vector I’m working on in the pipe with even more details planned for it, but I need a faster computer. I kinda half-assed the scene in this one because by the time I got to it I just wanted it done, and none of the scene was sketched for proper guidance… and I suck at drawing (like a lot) took me like 6 hours just to sketch twilight
Especially if you’re using blurs and shading clips too…and gradients. >~<

I think I’m done with vectors for a little while now… lol.
